Preface:

@those who do not understand the meaning of "Green Tamil people" it literally said to be "pachai tamizhargal" and the actual meaning of this word is "pure Tamil people"

and the meaning of "green green words" are not "pure tamizh words" :P but the actual meaning is "swear words"

To make it clear about the title, this article is about "Pure tamil people's Pure swear words" haha

I can very well hear your mind voice saying "tha mattar ku vaada" ($(@((@ come to the topic)

To be frank I hate "swear words" not because I am very good, educated decent fellow its because I feel shy to speak or utter some words in tamil which sounds very harsh but at the same time I can very well screw you goddamnit in english (thanks to fucking great actor al pacino :P)

There are some Tamil swear words which many not knows the exact meaning of it but still it is used by all and if you ask me whether scolding in swear words are bad? I dont say yes. bcoz when you utter bad words it reduces your mental pressure and angry towards some people and many of us also use it for fun. At the same time you should be more clear and know what you utter whether you target the actual person or his mother or parents or the caste or race through your words.

Once i got beaten up severely by my strict'uuuuu father for calling my friend shantha kumar as "loose" (it means mentally retarded :P) in front of his father who was also happens to be my father's colleague and friend and I confess at that time my favorite swear words are loose(mentally retarded), naai(dog), eruma maadu(buffalo) :D But i hate to scold others mother or parents saying "theyvudiya paiyya"(bastard), "unga ammala okka" (fuck your mother) kind of words, i feel very inconvenient while typing these words itself and no way i can able to use these against others :(

But my neighbors, my friends, school met, tuition met use these kind of words very normally even in a normal conversations like asking a pen for writing

So People didnt scold me in swear words for one reason I hadn't scold them and two i will give them fitting reply in other way But still i find disgusting to hear those words and finally i getto used to it.

In English it is very easy to get to know the meaning of swear words by asking internet kadavul "GOOGLE" and it gives n number of "varams" (results) about the origin of swear words from athi to antham and its rishi moolam and nathi moolam.

But for the language tamil it was very difficult to knew the meaning of some swear words and when i did thavam(searching) and asked to internet god google it enlighten me by giving some very rare links

Some of the findings are "Maiyr" is a bad word in malayalam but people of tamil also considering it as bad. In tamil maiyr means "hair" but in malayalam maiyr means "pubic hair" even tamil poet thiruvalluvar used word "maiyr" in his poem thirukural "maiyr neepin vazha kavare maan"

So dare to use the word maiyr and make sure every one understands maiyr is not bad word. "vantha mala pona maiyr" :P

Like this many good words became swear words in Tamil

Example:

"pundai" means "adaiyalam" (symbol, mark) also female reproductive part in tamil it was normal medicine word in ancient tamil nadu it seems but it became swear word now And "pundaram" means "vibuthi, kungumathal poda padum thilagam"

"pundareegam" means "lotus" ; "pundareegai" means Godess lakhsmi

"uvatthal" (magizhthal) became "othhal"---> otha "it is very common in chennai streets

"The story of "Otha"

For chennaites saying otha is common like saying "tha ...orey bore adikuthu" "tha ..thala valiee" "tha bus eppo da varum?" etc., But for other people it may sound very harsh and bad. I heard in Bangalore call centers people used to get trained to hear the word "fuck" and in the training period the trainer would train the associates saying "if a customer says "fuck" Dont take it to your heart or head just imagine the word fuck means "pumpkin" or any other funny word :D

My friend manjunath was born and brought up in chennai So for him the word "otha" was very common word But when he came to the bangalore many people in my college considered it as swear Especially my another friend vinoth who took this very serious and warned manjunath once, twice, thrice But Manju couldnt get rid of this habit saying "otha" :D Once while we were drinking coffee,

manju asked to vinoth that "record mudichutiya? tha neythulam vakkanthu kan muzhuchi ezhuthuneyn"

Vinoth: dei "otha" sollatha sonnan la?

Manju: tha theriyama solliteyn.. ( lol )

Vinoth poured the coffee on manju's face "sollatha da na thriumba thirumba solra :X"

Manju: tha ethuku da moonjula coffee oothuna? tha vaaila solla matiya..? paaru dress lam aiduchu...tha epapde class ku porarthu ippo? :P

we all Rotfl'ed on the whole day...speaking about this incident

And writer jaya mohan says "SERRAI" is common swear word used in kumari district of TN and the meaning is "olai veintha kudil" (palm leaves - hut??!!!) and "Erappali" means "irappali" (a person who is dying)

"Poda pulley" means "konjam asantha pull vanthu mann tharai moodumam" athan meaning and also due to actors like vadivelu many regional district level swear words became famous all over the TN :X

Example:

"Nathari" is a word represents the some caste of people (peyyars) "panni meikkaravargal"

"Edu patta payaley" means pethi noi vanthu pottalama kattie edukka patta ponam :-o

And there are other disease related swear words too like "neekambu", "pethila poovan" "kazhichaliley povan" etc.,

So it was clear people use disease name and its symptoms as swear words too like saying "unna vanthi bethi thooka" "kalara thooka" "malaria thokka" etc., very recently after tsunami attacked many people started saying "unna tsunami thooka" But one of my friend using "chicken kunniya vaaiya" haha as swear...

In bangalore more than kannada, malayalam, telugu, hindhi bad words- tamil swear words are famous among the group who has friends in all languages. And swear words are the first words which we usually learn when people started to know any new languages. So using swear words are not wrong but dont scold the words which hurt others parents, caste, family etc., Ok fuckers if you have any other links related to tamil swear words or any share with me in comments Box.

Though my friends are all fight for their favorite hero's ajith and vijay I don't find any great interests on both the actors and their movies. but my observations of their fight was always there bcoz You cannot avoid or ignore cinema actor's fans fight if you were born in Tamil nadu. Even I myself indulged in such stupid fans fight but not for these two actors and the reason is known by every one,

Their crappy movies which comes frequently makes you to think and question how come they gained such mass fan following in Tamil Nadu?

The cartoon which you are seeing above is just the observations of a single Vijay fan vs ajith fan fight But I imagined as if vijay and ajith themselves arguing against each other :D

Once Upon A time, I was proud to be an Indian

I was born in vellore in tamil nadu in India. So by default I became an Indian by birth just bcoz i was born in the place which is happened to be India So I became an Indian. I did not choose an Indian mother or an Indian father, nor the place or time of my birth. So i couldn't blame myself for being here or being a common hypocrite Indian.

So its only my parents determine my racial and national identity but I can't blame them either because they didn't get any option to choose their own identity too.

Like every Indian, i was very proud to be an Indian for many reasons, to be precise for the "preached reasons" what was preached? well My parents, My teachers, My elders, Our media, movies preached me...

1)India got Independence by non voilence; gandhi is the father of nation
2)Unity in Diversity
3)India is the Secular Country
4)Jai Jawan, Jai kissan
5)India is the biggest democratic country in the world
6)Jana gana mana
7)"thaiyin mani kodi paarir athai thazhnthu paninthu..pugaznthida vaareer" and so on

Well, each one deserves separate article but for time being I start with 2)Unity and Diversity now. And i will continue this post with the topic 1), 3), 4),5),6),7) later.

Unity in Diversity:

Over 856 languages, more than 25 states with diff culture and diff religion India Stands as a single nation for only one reason ie: "mutual benefitance" then what is nationalisim? Here i would like to quote the lines of famous turkish human rights activists Mr.sanar yurdatapan's lines

"Chauvinisim is the unsavory product of nationalisim, (that means nationalisim is nothing but a chauvinisim), Even if nationalisim starts out innocently and justifiably as a people's search for identity, in the long run it always ends with "We are the greatest"

how true?

Here comes the problem "We are the greatest" thought creates the ideology of "You People sucks, we people rocks" So it proves Chauvinisim=regionalisim=nationalisim

Example 1+ :-

During the recent IPL match between the teams RCB(royal challengers bangalore) and CSK(chennai super kings) There were some gang in the cricket stadium shouted anti tamil slogans They were calling, abusing tamils and their color, appearance etc., For tit for tat some tamil gangs started to shout "anti kannada" slogans. I cannot take this act as just result of fanaticism of a cricket team fans rather I should say these people who indulged in such activities were using this cricket match as a oppurtunity to show their vengance, hattergness against some sect of people or a state or a language.

Sports should develop the quality of sportsmanship in people's mind but here all we see is "hatterdness" Atleast when cricket was a single national's game (International Indian cricket team) whole nation was together, forget their differences and indulged in blind fanatisiicm through worshipping cricket heros on the name of "nationalisim" by building temples and showing "arathanas" for the posters of PEPSI pesticide players and insecticide coke cricketers.

(Calling Cricket as gentlemans game is stupid In my opinion cricket is no more a gentleman's game when people like sreeshanth, harbajan singh were playing in it and some of the cricketers give racist comments about opponents)

Example 2+ :-

Most of the Keralites are teasing and calling Tamil people as "Pandis" (from Vegetable wala to police wala)

I come to know from my friends even educated kerala students studying in the colleges also celebrating a seperate day called "pandi day" to tease tamil movie, their dressing, appearance and their culture. Kerala state has a literacy rate of 91 percent, the highest in India But what is the use? when educated youths act as morons and racists

Is only a kerala youths and educated students are acts like morons? No even Some tamizh nadu students studying Indian law was acted as morons recently” the Law makers should not be the Law breakers” But people who are going to safe guard our Indian law in future are acted as rowdies for supporting their own caste's pride. These students who were involved in gang war with the sticks and stones attacked their own fellow students of the different caste. Not only law college students but the eligibility criteria for practicing criminal lawyer in india is not only finish studying Bachelor of law, you should also have a part of criminal in you.

Today youngsters in India are divided into 2 main categories

a)Intellectuals: They care damn about people but they care all abt getting into IIT, IIM and selected in Campus, earning Money in lakhs and a job in multi national company settling in abroad ...tata bye bye see you mummy India.

b)Fools: They care about stars,players and their personal lives, worshipping cricket stars-builting temples, demolishing mosque, throwing stones in church, converting hindhus into some other religion believing on miracle, to put it al in single line "they are living, fighting, killing and dying for caste, religion, race, fanaticism, language etc.,"

Well India is democratic country so i am talking about majority here...So we care damn abt minority people votes as well as minority So the intellectuals who care about India and people stay away from saying "I am not like you mentioned above"

Every time when Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal announce its verdict, problem arise. In karnataka few years before some of the Kannada extremists attacked tamil nadu bus conductor and broke the Tamil nadu government road transport's bus glasses infront of karnataka police and colleges, schools were announced unofficial holidays Apart from this Free india's free media in question now. Yes they have banned tamil channels in Karnataka and kannada channels in tamil nadu But even at the time of kargil war i have seen pakistan channels were telecasted in india without any interruption.

In north, many peoples are teasing southies as madrasie and stupidity not only with people of north and also with the channels like "V" they are teasing keralites to the core on the name of "lolla kuttie" show

Raj thakrey's speech against the supposed dominance of migrants from North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in Maharashtra and he openly states that he would be compelled to make them leave the metropolis and the state.

In between State Vs state, language Vs language, caste vs caste, religion Vs religion fights we enjoy watching match India Vs Pakistan on the name of nationalism, Also commenting australia a racist country...

So nationalism and regionalism creates only chauvinism directly or indirectly by knowingly or unknowingly...whats there to pride about our nation or any nation then?

Like these, There is hell lot of examples to show whats our fake "unity" is?

Real "unity in diversity" will starts emerge only when people to think about humanity leaving nationality, regionality and other differences aside.
