its been 4 years since i blogged my last article abt the movie peepli live & everything changed in life after tht

two of my relatives killed themselves
two of them got married
don’t worry guys i am alright i m still single :P
And one of my grand father fell in bathroom & my cousin- his grandson fell in love
my mother decided to start jogging & my sister decided to runaway with her lover
few of my friends & cousins searching a bride and groom for marriage
some of their parents searching the meaning of life in the speech of corporate samiyars and their kasu pudungi ashrams
In the mean while astrologists, numerologists, namelogists, gynecologists some other gists are all made profit out of my family’s superstitious beliefs for the last 4 fiscal years

Turning back and seeing the past 4 years Though I see some of the above mentioned events as funny right now believe me its not tht easy to handle a situation like my cousin getting killed herself just few days before her degree convocation ceremony and the depressed uncle getting killed by himself leaving his wife and child all alone

it hurts lot me lot - more than the people who passed away I feel bad for their close relatives – Death is not only painful it provokes our thought and changes the way we leads our life

For example

The reason why I created this blog? its very simple like most of the people i am afraid of death it always makes me to think wht kind of foot print I am going to leave on this earth other than pollution i am neither a great artist nor a scientist ; I m neither a great leader nor a terrorist who am i ? though I am not an important object in the vast big universe I have not achieved anything great in my life neither i scored state first mark in public exams nor I shined in sports to win a gold medal for my school or country

the very thought i am being useless to the world made me to think many things t(he same doubt which George bailey had in the movie It's a Wonderful Life) wht will happen if my existence in the world vanish away ??!!

And wht is the purpose of my existence? just to survive - getting married- do the reproduction properly and transfer my gene pool to the next generation ...the very thought makes me sick

Like every tamilan I too like thirukurals but except one kural "thonrin pugazhudan thonruga" ilatte unna karuvuley abortion panrathu meyl nu solra madre thiruvalluvar this is more or less equal to the ideology of Nazis eugenics ...probably philosophical eugenics

If u r not worth for anything great if this world not recognize ur talent even if u r talented enough then there is no use of ur existence in the universe & in tht sense its better not to be born How cruel?

Millions of people born and died in this world The man who invented wheel didnt leave his name in the history In fact the man who wrote thirukurals didnt leave his name either but at least they left something for the next generation to live on and to praise for ever

So the foolish childra thought tht If I wrote a blog and post my views on various stuff it will stay on in internet as long the Google/Internet exists :P and I know some of u guys think low of me ha ha but I just said admit the truth and many others in the Internet world who write blogs, create forrum/communities & websites do it for the same

Some of my readers/friends might knw As i am always a big follower of Google the internet kadavul(god) He always answered my most of the questions than my parents teachers and so called gods of three great religion
(Hinduism, Islam & Christianity) and This internet kadavul gave me many varam out of those- this blog also one Though I have stopped blogging for many years I still get messages from people saying "hey pal ur blog is nice" "Hi may i became ur frnd & i like ur blog" & thanks for those wonderful people

PS: I am planning to write more in this blog whn ever the time permits & I dont know whether people read or not I write bcoz I want to leave my foot prints some where atleast for now in the internet sea shore ...

Peepli Live: My view

I should say peepli live is One of the best ever made film in india and it is also one of the "best" ever made satire Film in india After seeing this film if even a single Journalist or Indian Tv channel doesnt change their attitude covering a sensational news then I must say I born in a country where there is no humanity

You can see the brilliance of director/writer in climax showing a camera moves from the village to city. its nothing but a symbliosim of People from village leave their lands, home and family and migrate to city for the sake of survival. In a single lenghthy shot You can see Development OF indian cities by raising of N number of multi storage buildings, cars, bikes and the hoarding talks about "Luxury" etc., Finally natha was working under the construction of new building and his stone face with no expressions left but a dust which indicates he lost everything under the dust of politics and selfish stupid Indian media

And the film ends with the title card saying "80 million farmers changed left the farming and went for another profession" In future the count will rise more

Verdict: A must watch film

PS: This film already got selected for India's official oscar entry And I thing there is a more chance that this film might win an oscar in the Best foreign film category In case if this film wins then the optimist Patriotic would say "Its best film so it won and it deserves..Jai Ho..Proud to be Indian..Jai hind" And pessimists patriotic morons would say "it shown India in a bad light so it won" And fanatics of Multi national Coco cola coolie amir khan fanatics would say "Amir khan rocks" instead of praising Anusha Rizvi the director of this film And all this will be shown in Indian medias 100 times with BGM of Jai Ho But in the end every one will forget the Core theme of the film and the farmers :(

And I would say "Fuck all" Watch the film you will be ashamed of being Indian, search the human in you and ask "why should we are all to be proud for being an Indian"? where there is no Humanity with us and there is no development in villages from the time of pather panchali to Peepli live :( "what the fuck I am going to do?" thats a question I am asking myself

Endhiran/Robo: My Views about the movie

At last I saw the most expected movie of the year Robo aka Endhiran. (Education busineess aiduchu..govt solrathu schools kekka matuthu, TN la current adikade cut avuthu, global warming?? who cares abt these bull shits) If you live in tamil nadu and if you haven't watch rajini's latest movie in theater then My people of TN might think you are really crazy and gone insane :P Yes, There are so many lakhs of Civilized people live here in TN who think watching Rajini's new movie in theater is essential like drinking water and wearing clothes

May God bless "Kal thonri man thonra mun thonriya mootha thamzih kudi" DOT

Only in India especially in south a reviewer would start writing a review saying "This is not a typical masala movie..no punch, no item song, no heroism, no intro song So really its very Different movie" This is the situation here in South India and there are many reason for it And if you start an association with the members who are responsible for this poor situation then there is only one person in India who is capable of being leader for this Gang is none other than Super star Rajini Kanth.

So when Rajini acts in a movie which doesn't have punch, intro song etc., then it is indeed a different movie (ithukagavey avarku oru National award kepanga avar fans :P)
I was so surprised when the movies starts without any intro song and jaldras lead "enga ppa muthu? enga pa padaiyappa? avar eppo varuvar eppadi varuvar?...avar enga irukkar.." start music kind of intro So it put me in lot of expectation and my voice asked "appo idhu shankar padam ah??"

I am not getting into the story part bcoz every one who reads this review must be probably known it And when you try a different genre in India the maker must face a common problem in structuring the screen play...In hollywood there is a structure and format for each genre if you notice (exclude the non linear, experimental films and nolan films) there is a hidden template in all genre movies But In India movies be it a sci fic, action adventure, drama or romace or comedy you must find a perfect place in your script for placing the songs otherwise the song will became a big hurdle for your script and thats why most of the time you can see some people go for smoking when the song comes

And music directors like IR and ARR helped the directors by giving great music so that audience can sit and enjoy it But that was only during the time of radio and DD's "oliyum oliyum" television era Now in the era of Internet and satellite channels people can watch songs at any number of times in youtube and listen in ipods and mobiles So directors like shankar and maniratnam choose different unique ways to picturize the songs and put them audience in "mayayi" tht songs are not a speed breakers for the script.

But mani failed in his last two movies (guru and ravanan) This is shankar's turn Most of the audience find song as a speed breaker for the script "Robo" especially in second part it happens we can neglect this "mistake" and there are other good things to watch and enjoy in this movie And in future if any director try to make a sci fic movie he should try to reduce the number of songs frm 6 to 3 atleast if they cannot avoid completely There is a experiment needs in Indian movies when it comes to structuring the script according to our audience taste I hope some one will come up with one.

And songs in the movie are not typical one it is very different from earlier rajini movies so Goodos to ARR for trying something new in his every movie. This time shankar's touch is missing in songs like kilimanjaro and kadhal anukkal But still I liked the visuals of Arima Arima especially I liked a small moment where rajini give his cool villanish smile and show "thumbs up" to the audience and I didnt expect this song will be more good in visuals and I also liked irumbile visual and the whole song I was watching only "Aunty???!!!!" aishwarya not the charismatic color corrected VFX "tinkerd" robo rajini and spectacular Art direction. DOT

About The VFX in the movie is not so as great as Hollywood movies But still it is better than some of the Chinese hong kong movies which i have seen in my life and it is also better than any Indian movies which came before. As Kamal said about the people who criticized Dasa's make up and vfx

"oru kozhantha modal ezhunthu nadakkum bodhu vizha than seiyyum..so vizhunthuchey nu kai thatti sirikkama..ezhunthuchey...nu parattanum..inga muyarchi than mukkiyam"

So all we need is dare to place a "First step" (modhal adi marana adiya irukkanum avasiyam illai...adikka kai ongurathukey "thairiyam" veynum)

The shankar's creativity of visulas are always entertaining But in this movie he shown his brilliance in it especially composing the shots and idea of climax (n number of robots...acts as magnets and forming a globe type killing machine, drilling machine and a giant robot etc.,) I hope it is his original idea if it is then My hats off DOT

Abt BGM

There is something missing in ARR's BGM now a days It is more a noise/technic and less a music And what happen to the ARR who gave great BGM's for the movie Indian and Mudhalvan?? For The version 2.0 BGM doesnt create any impact on me And the last 45 mins Shankar, rajini, VFX team, stunt team won the accolades but ARR failed to create great impact and he gave a head ache for me I doubt his calibre of creating wonderful and mind blowing "goose bumping" BGM for science fiction movies like john williams who created greatest BGM's for many sci fic movies like E.T, Jurassic park, star wars and action adventure movies like Indianna jones, fantasy movies like Super man etc., I guess ARR cant match John williams So steven speilburg must be careful incase if he is planning to leave john and join hands with ARR. DOT

About actors

Rajinis scores in minus potraying his role as vasegaran and he scores high potraying his role as chitti (1.0) and he simply rocks as version 2.0
Aish simply stunning and she looks gorgeous and I still couldnt forget some dance movements of aish But the chemistry between vasegaran and sana is one of the worst in TC Is it bcoz a scientists wont be much good in their love lifes? haha I dont know. And comedy of santhanam and karunas doesnt work out well. Villain (avar villain ah?? :P) danie is just ok When rajini acts in negative role even for a few seconds I doubt whether actors like dannie can match him or over take him.

Cinematography is "Ok" I think its bcoz of Due to the heavy work load and for the case of doing it hurry burry DOT

Editing is pathetic "yaar ba avaru?" :X DOT

Is it Very difficult to satisfy north Indian Audience if the hero of the movie is Rajini whom they consider and rate him as TR and balayya of north (indha movie ley namma robo rajini namma TR's veerasamy comedy onna copy panittar...police "mammol vettu scene") But to be surpise many of my northie friends like this movie and expecting second part of it especially they are going gaga over about the experience of watching movie (last 45 mins ) And one of my friend also said he wanted to see second part of this movie and it must come out in 3d version But as usual "many" of my kerala friends except few finding faults for the sake of speaking and they never gonna get a good heart to appreciate talent and hard work of others if it is from non lal, non mammooka film whom they go gaga over about the movies like raja manikkam and chota mumbai :P

When a Robo laugh-mimic like a Sheep and walks, rolling his hands on both sides for few seconds I literally saw thesepian actor Great shivaji ganesan's body language in Rajini's acting. This is not the 1st time Rajini imitates Shivaji Ganesan And he had already done in the movie "moonru mugam" neverthless I consider it as evolution when it comes to "style" Bcoz when Rajini does that he gives a different dimension to that particluar body language and I remember the quote of Rajini "I am just a Style mannan and Shivaji sir is style chakaravarthi" he said this during the Inagguration of Shivaji statue function in chennai So I dont want to forget shivaji ganesan while appreciating the performance of Rajini in that particualr scene

Hail shivaji and he is indeed a God father of all actors in TC.

Yeah There are many plot holes..especially throwing robo parts in corporation Kuppai kedangu is height of ignorance. (No scientist will do tht) any way IF you dont like 2012, Avatar kind of movies then step away from wathing Robo But If you dont care about Logics, Plot holes and wanted to see Director Shankar's Marvellous Idea of Visual Creativity and Rajini's Magic Then Step in to the Theatre Even if you spend 200Rs. for these things its worth it.

Verdict: Must watch in Theater

If any one ask me Do you still miss Kamal-Preethi Robo movie?

And my answer is yes and no

Yes for missing kamal in a Robo-baddy role and I still hope Kamal can give good and better "performance" than rajini as a scientist and Robo in a diff way Do you wanna certificate? Refer Rajini's Quote about The NO of takes he took for performing as robo and "Sir na appovey sonneyn....kamal ah maranthudunga..." etc., If any other actor would have acted as old man in Indian movie Surely he wouldnt have got National award and give the performance which kamal had given in Indian And of course when it comes to "baddy" Rajini might score one point high than Kamal But still When U look it out as a over all performance Kamal score will be "sky high" than rajini.

"No" for this movie would have been more half baked than now if Shankar would have made this in 2000 Considering the weight of the Script and budget, VFX factor which was available during tht time. Also if this was the script and treatment he kept for kamal then kamal is poor choice and rajini is good choice for obvious reasons :P

If any one ask me SRK's point about Shankar's Script?

And my answer is He took a Good decision yes the script indeed looks crappy and childish in many parts and If he would have said anything to correct it then he is right

We have to wait and see SRK's script selecting knowledge...."Ra1" varattum de appo irukku unakku ;)

Padmasri, Padma Bushan are not worthy these days

I come to know tht Bhanu Athaiya was the First Indian to Get an Oscar, She got for the Best costume designer category for the film Gandhi which released in 1982 directed by Richard Attenborough (For those who don't know anything about him..he is none other than our Jurassic park "thatha")

There was no media support to chant Bhanu's name during 1980's And most importantly common public doesn't even know that there is a women named Bhanu Athaiya who bring first Oscar to our home I advice to our railway recruitment board should ask a question :

Who was the first Indian to win an Oscar award?"

And in options if they give:

a) Bhanu athiytha b) AR Rahman c)Resul pookutty d)sathyajith ray

90% of them will choose wrong answers by choosing B or C and 9% might go for D and Hardly 1% of people will be chosen the option A

And I also come to know still now our Indian Government not honored her by giving either padma shri nor padma bushan But film fare honored her by giving life time achievement award. Yesterday Oscar winner Resul pookutty got a padma shri and even a Doctorate due to the media hype all he got in this media era. but there are n number of people in India who not received their honor by our government due to various political reasons.

I think government give awards to get a fame for their party and themselves so choosing the people only who have big fame and popularity in that particular part of time rather than considering their works, achievements and talents So only people like Saif ali khan getting padma shri for roaming around with karenna kapoor and showing his six pack abs in a movies and another height of comedy is that he also got an national award for the movie "hum tum"

And its a shame when they give award "padma bushan" to Illayaraja and AR Rahman at a time. How come they not knew the talent of IR all these days? He literally ruled south India by his music more than 25 years Its bcoz he didn't work in hindhi films like rahman did But that doesnt diminish the talents of IR.

Most of the times Hindi'ans are getting recolonization easily than an "Indian's"

We most of them would have watched Rahman's Oscar moments "n" number of times in TV channels and even crazily shouted "Jai ho" But a man named "sathyajith ray" made a wonderful "Indian" films through out his life and won a hearts of people around the world and made them say "jai ho" to sathyajith ray
